Women do Cyber is a partnership between the Cisco Networking Academy, Glasgow Caledonian University, and Scotland Women in Technology (SWiT) that helps participants upskill and reskill to progress towards entry level cyber security positions. The information and resources below are designed to help you build confidence and navigate your next steps after Women do Cyber.
Cyber Security Careers
The UK Cyber Security Council provides lots of information on how to navigate through your cyber security career:
Career Mapping Tool - This career mapping tool will take you through the different knowledge areas within cyber security to assess where your skills or interests currently lie and what specialism would be best suited to you.
Cyber Career Framework - This framework provides details about the 16 specialisms in cyber security and suggests pathways through and between them. Details include an introduction to each specialism, information on the typical responsibilities and tasks, the skills and knowledge required, and information on useful prior experience for those hoping to enter the specialism from outside cyber security. Information also includes a list of common job titles and average salary ranges.
Certification Framework - This framework allows you to see which certifications may be useful to you, within the different specialisms and at which point of your career.
